As an optional service, we can supply insulation for your home that is designed to meet the standards laid out in amendment 'L' of the new building regulations. We can also advise you on several upgrade options we have available and put together a tailor-made insulation package designed to help you achieve your desired Building Energy Rating.

 

We supply a standard home insulation package that meets all the structural U-Value requirements needed to achieve the minimum C1 energy rating as laid out in the L-amendment. Our many upgrade options are available to enable you to improve upon this energy rating and achieve maximum levels of energy efficiency and savings. Under Amendment-L all new build homes must achieve a minimum C1 energy rating as standard. The upgrade packages available can achieve A-ratings provided they are carried out in accordance with the recommended standards of glazing, heating and ventilation.

Isover Glasswool Insulation

Isover home insulation is durable and does not age. The insulation is available in rolls or ready-cut widths that make it easy to install, and the non-combustible glasswool achieves an A1 fire rating, in accordance with BS EN 13501-1; the top fire rating available, rendering your timber home insulation completely fire-safe! Protect Your Home Insulation

 

An increasing number of homebuilders are now choosing to protect their insulation and their home investment by installing an airtight vapour barrier within the walls and rafters of their timber frame homes. 

 

Vapour barriers act as an airtight seal, locking in heat currents within the home, and blocking draughts out. Vapour barriers also prevent the accumulation of excess moisture within the timber building structure, thereby minimizing the risk of mould and mildew growth that can otherwise damage the building structure and cause dry rot.
